FRAMED! - People and Place in Irish Photography
19 June 2015 - March 2016
This exhibition draws on National Museums Northern Ireland's rich collection of historic photographs to celebrate 175 years of photography in Ireland. It offers a rare opportunity to see original photographic works and equipment, as well as high -quality digital prints from original negatives. All have been chosen to illustrate the range and depth of the collections and the photographers they represent, and to trace the history and development of the medium in Ireland. Be emphasizing the themes of people and place, the emergence over time of a distinctly 'Irish' genre of public photography is also highlighted.
Venue: Ulster Museum
Opening Times: Tues - Sun, 10am - 5pm (Free entry, last admission 4.30pm)
